Now on to another of the transportation blocks. Oh, yes, here is the tractor which is finished! Some embroidery still missing, but you get the jist! Such fun!

I had no idea it had been so long since I have blogged! Much quilting has taken place since my last entry. Learning to machine appliqué ......here are the fruits of that so far:

Has been fun learning, although I think I still prefer the hand work as far as just being relaxing!

Have begun the "transportation" quilt for James (age 4 months) but at least it's a beginning.

And then sent this happy sunshine block to La Veta, Colorado as part of a group quilt for Ricky Tims birthday quilt! The other participants did a fine job with really interesting blocks! We'll see what Ricky does with it!

Long time with no posts. Busy quilting!

Have been busy working on Quilting the Psalms, my last Round Robin on Monica's quilt, some Dear Jane blocks, and LIFE!



Below is my stash for the Psalms quilt and Dear Jane blocks.

Above left is Monica's son Mike's quilt. He leaves for Middle East duty in a few months!

Beside it is my Navaho quilt, still unfinished. (I can't find the corner blocks, but I KNOW I MADE THEM!

And upper right some of the Psalms blocks...........pretty, huh?

On top of this, I'm going to work for Take Care Health and helping to staff a retail clinic in a Walgreen's about 10 miles from our house! Twenty hours a week.

I've finished my round robin addition to Lisa's quilt.

Quite nice I think.



Tomorrow we begin painting the garage (and finish it I hope!) so that when my sister visit's next week, we can make a plan for storage and accessibility! Wish us luck! smile

Oh yeah! This will be a quilt to brighten any room.

Am about to embark on some 'house' projects so the quilting will have to take a back seat. :-(

New "Jane" friend and more blocks!

Today I had the pleasure of meeting a fellow Houstonion Dear Jane quilt maker. We met through the DearJane help list and decided to see if we could get a group of Houston DJ'ers together. We're talking!

Here are my most recent blocks and I'm finding I continue to learn with every block design!
What fun this is becoming! Remember, these blocks are only 4-1/2" square, so you can imagine some of the pieces are pr-e-t-t-y small!
